Racing for all classes is now underway in glorious sunny conditions, with a gusty south-westerly wind of 15-22 knots that’s providing plenty of thrills and spills for competitors.

The early finishers among the White Group dayboats have already completed their races. The majority of the rest will soon start to finish on the Royal Yacht Squadron line, approaching from the west under spinnaker, with the finishing sequence expected to continue until around 1600.

The Black Group yachts that started on the Royal Yacht Squadron line this morning will finish on the new Bramble Line that can be seen from the Parade, from now until around 1530. The remainder of the Black Group that started on from a committee boat in the western Solent will finish further offshore on the Bramble line.
