Cowes Week Ltd (CWL) today announced new sponsorship opportunities for brands looking to partner with the Cowes Week regatta and capitalise on the next phase in the event’s development. Previous Title Sponsor Aberdeen Asset Management celebrated their final year of association with the event during the 2016 regatta, and the opening now provides a rare opportunity for fresh organisations to collaborate with the world-famous event.
The three new Presenting Partner packages introduced today by CWL provide a more focussed engagement for organisations mindful of the current economic climate and restrictions on traditional corporate hospitality. Along with opportunities to support and benefit from a wide range of enhancements that are planned for 2017 and beyond - including competitor and spectator Apps, GPS tracking, new social media initiatives, enhanced TV coverage and activities to champion the grassroots level of the sport - the packages will also provide sponsors with a high level of visibility, activation opportunities and association with the event, without the additional cost of naming rights.
Martin Gilbert, CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management, commented
“We’re very proud of our six-year association with Cowes Week; it’s a fantastic event that has delivered huge benefits to the Aberdeen brand. The 2016 regatta continued to show how the event is going from strength to strength and opening up new sponsorship opportunities. It’s a flagship British event in a fantastic stretch of water, with an unrivalled history behind it, so we’re confident that new organisations will step up to support the event”
Commenting on the new packages, Kate Johnson, Commercial and Marketing Director at CWL, said:
“The new sponsorship packages allow companies to partner with the event at a level that suits them. There are three Presenting Partner packages on offer. Presenting Partners will enjoy the unique benefits of an official association with Cowes Week together with an involvement in some very exciting innovations. We’re delighted that there has already been interest in joining Cowes Week at this level.”
