Today is delivering simply stunning weather for the penultimate day of racing at Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week. There’s unbroken sun over the Isle of Wight and Solent, with the wind now swinging into the south west and increasing to around 15 knots.
All classes started on schedule, apart from those on the Black Group Committee Boat, where the FAST40+ class was subject to a general recall. The first of the Black Group yachts are expected to finish under spinnakers on the Royal Yacht Squadron line from around 1340 onwards. The White Group dayboats are finishing on the Shrape line off East Cowes, where the first boats could be seen approaching the line just before 1300.
