Following another morning of glorious sun over the Solent racing is now under way for all classes. The wind has built to a west-south-westerly breeze of 10-12 knots, with 30 degree wind shifts and plenty of gusts and lulls to challenge competitors.

The first boats expected to finish on the Royal Yacht Squadron line are the large yachts competing in IRC Class 0, with an expected time of 1415. The last of the finishers – probably those in the Sunsail Match 40 and Cruising Division B fleets – are likely to cross the line before 1600.

The first White Group boats to finish on the Shrape line off East Cowes are predicted to be from the Etchells class, with the leaders arriving there around 1320.
