Another glorious day with clear blue sky and constant sunshine bodes well for day two of Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week. It is also Family Day and there is already a real family buzz along the High Street as floods of visitors head to the island specifically to celebrate the day.
On the water the wind remains generally light but it looks as though racing will commence on time.
A low pressure system centred over Scotland will send a weak weather front over The Solent in the late afternoon, bringing a little more cloud and wind than yesterday, particularly later in the afternoon
It will remain predominately sunny, with no rain expected, while the early morning calm conditions will be replaced by a west-south-westerly breeze. This will build to 8-10 knots by lunchtime, before backing to the south-west increasing further to 12-16 knots in the late afternoon.
