Today, at the Miami Boat Show in Florida (USA), Sunsail and Cowes Week Limited (CWL) launched a new charter package for US sailors interested in participating in the world famous Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week.

US sailors will be able to buy this package through the Florida Sunsail office in Clearwater and the choice of yachts is across a range of different boat types (not just the fleet of Sunsail’s Match First 40s) and Sunsail’s team is also offering assistance with booking flights, accommodation and transfers, if needed. The aim is to provide a comprehensive service to the US racing community by leveraging the relationship between Sunsail and CWL.

Commenting on the latest news, Michelle Warner, Sales and Marketing Director of CWL said: “When we announced the new relationship with Sunsail as our official charter sailing partner back in October 2014, one of the things we were really keen to do was explore ways of developing a package with Sunsail and the TUI group of companies to make entering the event for overseas visitors even easier. We’re delighted to be launching this new package for the US market, with more news to follow in the near future regarding other countries where similar arrangements will be established.”

International interest in Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week 2015 is already high with 20 per cent of all entries received so far from outside of the UK. The new package helps to build on this strong position by taking steps to make it even easier for sailors from around the world to get involved.
