“I think Ladies Day is a great idea. I have sailed in other ladies days around the world but I am certain this is the biggest. I am keen to see what happens at the Ladies Day presentation later tonight.
“I am looking forward the Rolex Fastnet Race. We predict a 32 hour race so it’s going to be a quick one.”
Dee Caffari – aboard the MOD 70 Oman Air-Musandam. Paul Goodison, Olympic gold medallist was also onboard.
“We were blessed with classic Cowes Week weather for Ladies Day today with sunshine all day and a really good breeze in the western Solent. We experienced zero winds to great sailing conditions. It was great for the majority of sailors out there because a day when the wind increased throughout the day which builds confidence, so all those ladies new to sailing will have enjoyed a typical day and the best of Aberdeen Asset Management today. It would have been a great day for everyone.”
Amanda Phillips – guest of Sovereign Capital aboard the Farr-designed Venomous which finished sixth in Class 1 today.
“I had a fantastic day’s racing. I’ve only been sailing twice before and today was in probably the best conditions we could have hoped for. I really think the Ladies Day theme is great. Not only were we fortunate enough to pick up a spot prize on the water today – some delightful Elemis beauty products and discount voucher – but it was great to see so many people really involve themselves in the whole ladies day theme by wearing pink.”
