Cowes Week Limited (CWL), the organisation behind the world's premier sailing regatta Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, today announced that the leading sailing company Sunsail becomes their official charter sailing partner for the 2015 and 2016 regattas.
Sunsail’s matched fleet of 30 Sunsail Match First 40s will be available to both private individuals and businesses from Sunsail’s regatta base in Cowes Yacht Haven on the Isle of Wight, which includes a dedicated hospitality area for its clients.
Commenting on the announcement Simon Cross, President of TUI Marine and Sunsail, said:
“Cowes Week and Sunsail are both part of the domestic and international sailing communities’ heritage and this new partnership seems entirely natural. We will be working closely with the regatta to make sailing with Sunsail even more accessible, both in the UK and at our many overseas locations. We look forward to working with the regatta organisers, its participants, its spectators and fans around the world.”
Michelle Warner, Sales and Marketing Director at CWL, added:
“Sunsail has been an important part of our regatta for many years and we’re delighted to cement this successful relationship by extending it in this way. Many people have been introduced to our great sport through Sunsail sailing days and we look forward to introducing even more people to sailing and our event through this new relationship. One of the specific initiatives we’re looking forward to developing in partnership with Sunsail and the TUI group of companies is a package that makes entering the event for overseas visitors even easier”.
The 2015 regatta takes place from 8 – 15 August.
