The weather on the final day of Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week looks set to produce exhilarating racing in bright sunshine and a good working breeze.

This morning’s gusty westerly breeze of 17 to 20 knots is forecast to back to the south-west ahead of another front during the day and increase to give gusts of 25 knots.

Black Group boats will start from the Royal Yacht Squadron line heading west, before racing in the western Solent and finishing from the west on the RYS line. XODs will also start from the RYS line in a westerly direction, before heading into the eastern Solent and finishing on the Shrape line off East Cowes.

All other White Group classes will start on the Shrape line and race in the eastern Solent, with some classes finishing on the Bramble line and others, predominately those with later start times, finishing on the Shrape line.
