The morning of day six at Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week has been a relaxed one of sipping coffee and sun bathing for most competitors, as the forecast southerly sea breeze has been slow to become established in the central Solent, resulting in long postponements.

However, the Artemis Challenge race around the Isle of Wight, got away on time at 1000 in the last of the overnight offshore breeze. The sea breeze line is currently moving up the western Solent and is now tantalisingly close to Cowes, so the indications remain in place for an excellent afternoon of racing, with classes getting away in an accelerated start sequence.
