BOSS Watches are proud to announce that for the second year running, they will be the Official Watch of Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week 2012 and are planning a raft of activities surrounding the world-famous sailing regatta.
BOSS Watches has a long and enduring affiliation with sailing, spearheaded by its involvement with leading yachtsman, Alex Thomson, who will be at this year’s regatta with the BOSS yacht, enhancing BOSS Watches’ presence at the event.
Steve Brydon, Sales Director for MGS Distribution, exclusive distributors of BOSS Watches in the UK, says of the sponsorship with Cowes Week Limited, “We’re delighted to be returning to Cowes Week as the Official Watch. We had a very successful event last year, using our status as a platform for consumer promotions, corporate hospitality and a retail sales experience.
“The BOSS brand is synonymous with sailing, so our involvement with Cowes Week provides us with the perfect opportunity to showcase the BOSS Watches brand and maximise our links with Alex Thomson Racing. We’re looking forward to hosting plenty of guests during the week and I’m sure we’ll be watching some of the best racing in the world.”
The BOSS brand has been actively involved with sailing since 2003, when HUGO BOSS started their sponsorship with Alex Thomson and his team. Since this time the brand has been involved with Alex Thomson Racing, supporting his competitive activities in international racing. This year Alex will be once again taking part in the Vendee Globe - a non-stop, solo, unassisted round-the-world yacht race.
The sponsorship of Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week reinforces the brand’s commitment to sailing and provides a perfect platform for showcasing the BOSS Black Regatta Watch; the official watch of the regatta.
