16:00 Friday 23 Jul 2021 Cowes Week 2021 Provisional Class Splits

The provisional class splits for IRC and the Cruiser Divisions are shown below. If you have any thoughts about these please let Laurence know at Final class splits will be issued on Sunday evening.

These will be made available via website and Cowes Week app which will realeased early next week. Once downloaded (it is free) use your competitor code that will be sent via email to link your boat with the app. That code ensures that you get the right course information each day so getting the right code is very important!

The sailing instructions are now online. The biggest change this year is the starting sequence. In order to allow more boats to start on the Royal Yacht Squadron line we have moved to a rolling five-minute sequence.
The start of one class is therefore the warning signal of the one following.

We think this will add to the event, making it more Cowes centric but it will potentially mean more crowded start lines and we would ask you to be mindful of boats in starting sequence as you assess your own starting options, or check the transit. Don't forget that the RYS Line 1 is a transit, and that the outer distance mark does not define the start line.
