Cowes Week is one of the UK’s longest running and most
successful sporting events. There are a range of excellent sponsorship options
available for brands to associate themselves at a variety of levels with this
iconic event.
One headline partner has the opportunity to hold a strategic
association with Cowes Week through naming rights to the event. This will ensure
extensive brand exposure through media coverage of the event and opportunities
to engage with the highly attractive demographic of participants, visitors, and
sailing fans throughout the world.
Some exciting new exclusive hospitality and primary sponsorship
packages have been introduced for 2010, providing a number of great
opportunities for companies to come onboard with one of the world’s best-known
sailing regattas, in a highly cost-effective way. A total of five new primary
sponsorship packages have been introduced, including exclusive hospitality
packages, extensive brand exposure opportunities and a Community Youth Project.
Supporting sponsorship provides a focused level of association
for a particular product category. This level of sponsorship provides
exclusivity of product type, rights of association with Cowes Week, and
extensive marketing opportunities with participants, visitors, and sailing fans
throughout the world.
In addition, a number of sponsorship items and advertising
options are available to brands that do not conflict with our family of event
sponsors. Details of these opportunities are provided below. All prices quoted
are exclusive of VAT.

FIREWORKS
Cost: £50,000
Full sponsorship and naming rights associated with the world-famous
prestigious Cowes Week
Fireworks Display.

Cost: £10,000 (for headline sponsorship of the
Red Arrows display)
SOLD Full sponsorship and naming rights associated with a display by the
sensational Red Arrows.

BRANDING THROUGHOUT COWES
Cost: variable (depending on location)
Flag and banner branding sites are available throughout the key
venues in Cowes during the event, providing the opportunity to
promote your brand with the 120,000 + people onsite for Cowes Week.

COWES WEEK POCKET GUIDE Cost: £5,000 (includes the
cost of
production)
SOLD Visitors and competitors at Cowes during Cowes Week can take
advantage of a free pocket guide helping them to plan their
entertainment and shore-side activities throughout the week. Sponsorship
includes the profiling of your company logo, together with the event
logo on these fold-out guides, in addition to a short brand message.

COMPETITOR PRIVILEGE CARD
Cost: £5,000 (includes the cost of card
production)
SOLD
All competitors racing during Cowes Week (8500) receives a
Competitor Card offering a variety of discounts and benefits to
competitors throughout Cowes Town for the duration of the event.
Sponsorship includes the profiling of your company logo, together
with the event logo, on each and every card in addition to short
brand message (design subject to agreement).

COMPETITOR LANYARDS
Cost: £4,000 (plus cost of supplying the
lanyards)
SOLD
All competitor privilege cards are issued with a lanyard. Sponsor
these items and take advantage of a high profile promotional
opportunity with all competitors taking part in Cowes Week.

PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL WITH COMPETITOR BRIEFCASES
Cost: £2,000 (negotiable)
Include promotional material in the competitors’ briefcases which
are issued to all entrants at the beginning of the Week and include
all technical racing information.

LAUNCH & SPECTATOR BOAT SERVICE
Cost: £5,000 (plus cost of providing any
branding)
The launch service to competitors and the spectator boat service to
visitors will be referred to as the “<sponsor name> launch service”
and “<sponsor name> spectator boat service” in all communications.
Branding can be positioned on each of the vessels too, subject to
agreement with the boat owner.

ADVERTISING ON COWES RADIO
Cost: variable
Advertising opportunities on the dedicated event radio station
provide promotional opportunities with not only all visitors and
competitors to the event, but also with an extended potential
audience of 2 million listeners along the South Coast, and many more
online followers internationally.

SHEPARDS WHARF MARINA
SPONSORSHIP OPTIONS
Crew bar sponsor Cost: £8,000
Includes naming rights associated with the Crew bar: in association
with <sponsor name>; Entire bar fascia & back bar branding space
plus prime internal banner positions inside the bar; Private
seated/roped off area inside/outside the crew bar every day; and
logo on relevant Shepards Wharf Marina materials.
Nightclub or Pier Bar sponsor Cost: £5,000 per
venue
Includes naming rights associated with the relevant venue: in
association with <sponsor name>; premium branding sites on exterior
and interior of nightclub or pier bar; 20 free VIP passes to Club
Infernos every night during Cowes Week; opportunity to “theme” a
night at Club Infernos; and logo on relevant Shepards Wharf Marina
materials
Interactive game sponsor Cost: AT COST
Ergo machine, winch grinder etc
Rock climbing wall sponsor Cost: AT COST
Sponsor an 8 metre high climbing wall at Shepards Wharf Marina, with
your logo featured on either end for 4 days of the regatta. Logo
print cost is not included.
