Fireworks funding shortfall

Most people who saw and heard the Cowes Week fireworks display on Friday 7 August agreed that it ranked among the best they had ever enjoyed. Our sincere thanks go out to the anonymous donor and to the myriad of businesses and individuals who contributed towards the display.
Although the fireworks went ahead, we have not yet achieved our fundraising target of £50,000; we are still some £5,000 short. There's still time to support the event and we urge everyone who enjoyed the evening but is yet to make a donation to log on to our donation page at www.cowesweek.co.uk where a secure Paypal donation page is available. Unfortunately, unless we meet the £50,000 needed to fund this year's marvellous fireworks display, the display for next year is in jeopardy.
